Abortion Is Not A Right but an.. I Will or I Will Not

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (Revelation of Jesus Christ 22:17)

Where oh where in this passage does it tell Christians to force people by making laws to obey God? Sure make the laws and force people to obey them by fear and punishment. IE: don’t pay your insurance premium and lose your drivers license or go to jail or get fined or all of the above.

But most people obey laws because they see the common sense in many of them. But some laws are not common sense and need to be outlawed.

And some people break laws with no regard of the consequences.

Rob a bank and go to jail if they catch you. Commit adultery and watch your marriage disintegrate. If your spouse doesn’t know you are a cheat God does and eventually his laws will grind you to powder; he said they would.

The Bible says Be sure your sin will find you out.

Your conscience will hound you and you will have no peace because the powers that be, which are the laws of the universe will never let you rest.

People languish in prisons right now because they transgressed the laws of God.  And some languish in prisons because not they, but others transgressed the laws of God. I have no doubt many are in prison wrongfully convicted because of the transgressions against God’s laws done by police and prosecutors. Planted “evidence” pride, arrogance, ignorance, etc. are some of the reasons the Judicial system sometimes fails.

Whosoever will let him come. Not whosoever makes laws forcing people to obey them are obeying God.  Those who do right do right because they want to. No law is needed to force them to do the right thing.

They will to do right.

There is a preacher on television who talks a lot about abortion. He says he has a mandate from God to stand up for the unborn. I think not.

Church and state are separate. How clear this is when you see people come to Christ in prisons yet remain in prison. If church and state were the same they would be immediately released from prison.

Jesus said to render to Caesar what is Caesar and to God what is God’s. Yet to think that God wants laws forbidding women to get abortions is playing God. It is deciding what a woman can or can not do.

It is up to the woman what she does. Of course it is wrong, it is a SIN to murder unborn babies. But if the woman wants to sin that is her business. No one can force anyone to NOT sin. Without Christ they will sin.

No minister of the gospel has the right or mandate from God to make laws forcing a woman to  carry a child to full term if it will kill her. Who knows her case but her and God. Mostly God knows and truly only God knows how to deal with the woman who is pregnant.

I asked God one time about this very thing, about Roe vs Wade. He directed me to the rich man and Lazarus in his Word. The poor suffering beggar Lazarus in the story who begged for crumbs from the velvet clad bedecked with jewels no doubt rich man’s table died and was carried to Abraham’s bosom.

When the rich man who mistreated Lazarus died also ,he was buried and went to hell. When he was informed by Abraham that there was no way out for him because of his wicked selfish life,  he asked Abraham if he could go warn his five brothers so they will not go to hell also.

He “reasoned” that if one rose from the dead his brothers would be convinced to live right and not end up in hell like he did.

But the answer Abraham gave the rich man applies today for Roe vs Wade. If they do not hear Moses and the prophets neither will they hear if one rises from the dead.

So if women who get abortions do not listen to Moses who received the law at Sinai which law said You shall do no murder, which law is with us today, why would they listen to a secular law forcing them not to get abortions?

Does this preacher think the United States Supreme Court trumps Moses?

It is absurd to make laws forcing women not to get abortions. I am against murder and I am against abortion. But I am not against free will, the will to choose to go to hell or heaven.

Even though the baby from conception is a human being with the breath of life in him; God gave the breath of life to mankind at Eden, still the woman has the will not the right (we never have the right to kill anyone, but some laws say so like killing an intruder) to have an abortion.

We cannot force anyone to obey God. We can pray for them and do all we can within the Bible story to save them.

Jesus said whosoever will let him come and take of the water of life freely.
