God Impressed Me says David Barton (Part 3)

Head of Gaius Julius Caesar from Trajan's Foru...

A Benjamite. A Pharisee. He had education yet he counted it as less than nothing so to win the Lord Jesus Christ. And why did Paul want to win Christ? To start a Christian college or to impress Caesar? Absolutely not. Paul established seven churches in Asia Minor. He labored tirelessly for one thing;  TO WIN THE LOST TO CHRIST AT ANY COST.

Barton complained that the Hindu man on C-Span had many many many many many gods. But in truth..so does Barton have many many many many many gods.

His gods are the founding fathers. His gods are anything secular and anything American. Anything Roman.

Jesus gave us the great commission:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (mark 16:15-16)

Where in these passages does it tell us to go look up anything about schools and scores? After one goes into all the world as Jesus commanded people get baptized and saved not educated. I’m not knocking education. Degrees are in my family. But they do not save only Jesus saved us. Degrees are for one thing only: to open doors of the world and to make money. Degrees have nothing to do with salvation.

Ted Bundy was an attorney. I read of a physician who murdered his two sons to collect insurance money.

We live in such a world now that God has shrunk considerably that we all know what is going on. Secular education does not glorify God. A member of my family had to leave their job because they could not be part of evil. A room full of staff members all with degrees; where they all plan without shame or guilt; to do evil to others all in the name of rules and regulations. My family member, in order to follow Jesus, had to leave. Leaving a large salary behind.

Another member of my family had to leave law enforcement because this member could not, because of Christ within, be  part of hurting people for whom Christ died.

Feelings and impressions: I remember years ago hearing one person say “I feel in my spirit” and another saying “I feel in my spirit” and both were in disagreement with the other’s “feel” in their spirit.
I recall one church saying that the same spirit that told the one church to stay away from the other church is the same spirit that told the other church that a dark cloud was over the other church.
One would be foolish to believe “impressions” or “I feel..” Or ” I think..” when it doesn’t agree with the Bible.
How many people have died because of someone having feelings or impressions? I could name many cases. Leave the Bible and you leave the only guide we have.
After Revelation of Jesus Christ 22:21 the Book closes.

If something is not contained between Genesis 1 and Revelation of Jesus Christ 22:21 it is not the word of God.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15)
