What? Herman Cain Says God Told Him To Run For President?

Official White House Portret of James A. Garfi...

Herman Cain who is running as fast as he can for president of the United States said that GOD told him to run for president…..Pat Robertson said the same thing “God told me…” but God doesn’t send people on wild goose chases. Robertson lost.

If a man is a minister he is to be preaching the gospel not running for president or having a beer with Herod or Caesar. If God called you to preach you need to preach, not try to run the world without God on your side. God is in the soul saving business, not electing public officials to high office while the world goes to hell.

The Republican candidate told CBN News that’s why he believes “God’s been in this from the beginning.” Cain said that when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted just as Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. Like Moses, Cain says he told God, “You’ve got the wrong person. You can’t be talking about me.” Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those “conversations with God” to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.

Notice Cain said he FELT? Nowhere in the Bible are we to go by feelings when determining anything is real or not real. We walk by faith and faith without works is dead. Then Cain comparing himself to the great lawgiver Moses is incredibly absurd. Cain’s faith is in politics not in God. That faith is dead on arrival anywhere he sends it.

President James Garfield also was a minister, then abandoned it for politics, then was elected president of the United States. As we know he was shot after only six months in office and died soon after. Nothing more can be said of what God thought about he leaving the ministry for politics.

He took the man’s life. God is not in politics regardless of what some say. Read the Bible and see there the only politicians were the wicked, not the righteous.

If one is following Jesus his only goal is to win the lost to Christ.

Garfield was only POTUS for six months then died by an assassin.

About Garfield….”While at Eclectic, he was most interested in the study of Greek and Latin,[12] and he was also engaged to teach. He developed a regular preaching circuit at neighboring churches, in some cases earning a gold dollar per service.[13] Garfield then enrolled at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where he joined the Delta Upsilon fraternity[14] and graduated in 1856 as an outstanding student.[15]Garfield was quite impressed with the college President, Mark Hopkins, about whom he said, “The ideal college is Mark Hopkins on one end of a log with a student on the other.”[16] Garfield earned a reputation as a skilled debater and was made President of the Philogian Society and Editor of theWilliams Quarterly.[17]

After preaching briefly at Franklin Circle Christian Church (1857–58), Garfield gave up on that vocation and applied for a job as principal of a high school…”

Men who claim that God tells them to run for president are sadly ignorant of the Bible. God doesn’t call ministers to Caesar’s palace for $1000  a plate fund-raising dinners. He has no part in lobbyists whose interests do not include the lost and dying, the hurting and sick and those desperately in need of healing and salvation.

God calls us to win the lost to Christ. Cain is delusional as was Robertson who said GOD told him to go run for president. Robertson lost and who can believe God told him such a thing? God call us to win not lose. God give victory never defeat. And there is no victory in defeat.

Herman Cain said Monday he didn’t want to run for president, but God called him to join the race.

The Republican candidate told CBN News that’s why he believes “God’s been in this from the beginning.”

Cain said that when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted just as Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.

Like Moses, Cain says he told God, “You’ve got the wrong person. You can’t be talking about me.”

Cain is delusional. He feels stuff then acts on his feelings. Then blames God for his feelings. Feelings change like the weather. We must have the sure prophecy of God’s word and God’s word is not a feeling. It is Christ.

Cain comparing himself with Moses is ludicrous. He is not Moses. America is not Israel. And Americans are not slaves in Egypt land. God did not call Cain to lead anyone anywhere this is for certain. And we have the entire Bible to prove this.

Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those “conversations with God” to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.

Conversational with God? God only talks salvation from sin and healing and deliverance from sin. Sin is what God wants to remove from the world (not just from America)  not republicans or democrats from office.. But Cain is delusional in that he thinks God is calling him to some great mission as he called Moses. Moses already gave the law. It is a done deal!

Nowhere in the Bible does God tell anyone to run for public office. Jesus did not dine with Tiberius. He called Herod a fox, not his running mate.

Jesus did not run for public office. Jesus did not vote in elections. Jesus did not do anything that did not relate to the redemption of the lost. He healed the sick. He did not take away their benefits. None of the apostles were into politics. They preached and they prayed and they fasted to do one thing: WIN THE LOST!

As long as these religious politicians can push their delusions that God is walking with the rich and vain and lost in sin Caesars, and not with the hated persecuted Christians, they are winning victories for the devil not God..

It is wrong to pass the lie that God is involved in politics. God wants us saved NOT elected. And he wants us to get others saved not elected. The world needs Jesus and he seeks those who want to work in his kingdom, not work for the banks.

This blog to be continued on the case of Karla Faye Tucker, the young woman executed by the state of Texas for murder…. and how church and state are obviously separate.
