What? Herman Cain Says God Told Him To Run For President?

Official White House Portret of James A. Garfi...

Herman Cain who is running as fast as he can for president of the United States said that GOD told him to run for president…..Pat Robertson said the same thing “God told me…” but God doesn’t send people on wild goose chases. Robertson lost.

If a man is a minister he is to be preaching the gospel not running for president or having a beer with Herod or Caesar. If God called you to preach you need to preach, not try to run the world without God on your side. God is in the soul saving business, not electing public officials to high office while the world goes to hell.

The Republican candidate told CBN News that’s why he believes “God’s been in this from the beginning.” Cain said that when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted just as Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. Like Moses, Cain says he told God, “You’ve got the wrong person. You can’t be talking about me.” Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those “conversations with God” to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.

Notice Cain said he FELT? Nowhere in the Bible are we to go by feelings when determining anything is real or not real. We walk by faith and faith without works is dead. Then Cain comparing himself to the great lawgiver Moses is incredibly absurd. Cain’s faith is in politics not in God. That faith is dead on arrival anywhere he sends it.

President James Garfield also was a minister, then abandoned it for politics, then was elected president of the United States. As we know he was shot after only six months in office and died soon after. Nothing more can be said of what God thought about he leaving the ministry for politics.

He took the man’s life. God is not in politics regardless of what some say. Read the Bible and see there the only politicians were the wicked, not the righteous.

If one is following Jesus his only goal is to win the lost to Christ.

Garfield was only POTUS for six months then died by an assassin.

About Garfield….”While at Eclectic, he was most interested in the study of Greek and Latin,[12] and he was also engaged to teach. He developed a regular preaching circuit at neighboring churches, in some cases earning a gold dollar per service.[13] Garfield then enrolled at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where he joined the Delta Upsilon fraternity[14] and graduated in 1856 as an outstanding student.[15]Garfield was quite impressed with the college President, Mark Hopkins, about whom he said, “The ideal college is Mark Hopkins on one end of a log with a student on the other.”[16] Garfield earned a reputation as a skilled debater and was made President of the Philogian Society and Editor of theWilliams Quarterly.[17]

After preaching briefly at Franklin Circle Christian Church (1857–58), Garfield gave up on that vocation and applied for a job as principal of a high school…”

Men who claim that God tells them to run for president are sadly ignorant of the Bible. God doesn’t call ministers to Caesar’s palace for $1000  a plate fund-raising dinners. He has no part in lobbyists whose interests do not include the lost and dying, the hurting and sick and those desperately in need of healing and salvation.

God calls us to win the lost to Christ. Cain is delusional as was Robertson who said GOD told him to go run for president. Robertson lost and who can believe God told him such a thing? God call us to win not lose. God give victory never defeat. And there is no victory in defeat.

Herman Cain said Monday he didn’t want to run for president, but God called him to join the race.

The Republican candidate told CBN News that’s why he believes “God’s been in this from the beginning.”

Cain said that when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted just as Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.

Like Moses, Cain says he told God, “You’ve got the wrong person. You can’t be talking about me.”

Cain is delusional. He feels stuff then acts on his feelings. Then blames God for his feelings. Feelings change like the weather. We must have the sure prophecy of God’s word and God’s word is not a feeling. It is Christ.

Cain comparing himself with Moses is ludicrous. He is not Moses. America is not Israel. And Americans are not slaves in Egypt land. God did not call Cain to lead anyone anywhere this is for certain. And we have the entire Bible to prove this.

Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those “conversations with God” to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.

Conversational with God? God only talks salvation from sin and healing and deliverance from sin. Sin is what God wants to remove from the world (not just from America)  not republicans or democrats from office.. But Cain is delusional in that he thinks God is calling him to some great mission as he called Moses. Moses already gave the law. It is a done deal!

Nowhere in the Bible does God tell anyone to run for public office. Jesus did not dine with Tiberius. He called Herod a fox, not his running mate.

Jesus did not run for public office. Jesus did not vote in elections. Jesus did not do anything that did not relate to the redemption of the lost. He healed the sick. He did not take away their benefits. None of the apostles were into politics. They preached and they prayed and they fasted to do one thing: WIN THE LOST!

As long as these religious politicians can push their delusions that God is walking with the rich and vain and lost in sin Caesars, and not with the hated persecuted Christians, they are winning victories for the devil not God..

It is wrong to pass the lie that God is involved in politics. God wants us saved NOT elected. And he wants us to get others saved not elected. The world needs Jesus and he seeks those who want to work in his kingdom, not work for the banks.

This blog to be continued on the case of Karla Faye Tucker, the young woman executed by the state of Texas for murder…. and how church and state are obviously separate.

Nudity, King David, Bathsheba and God’s Judgment

2One evening David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the king’s house, when from there he saw a woman bathing; and she was very lovely to behold. (2 Samuel 11:20

David looked on a naked body. He then committed adultery. And murder.

Then he lied about it.

Then he learned the woman was pregnant. He lied about that.

Then he had the woman’s husband killed.

Then he lied about that.

His sin began when he looked at the naked body of the woman bathing herself.

Now that Uriah is murdered by David, he marries Bathsheba.

God lets all this happen…then

He sends Nathan the prophet who tells David a story. David is so blind to his evil of adultery and murder that he swears the man will be killed who done such a thing as Nathan reports.

Nathan tells him he is the man. Yes David GOD forgives you and has put away your sin. However the sword will never depart from your house.

Israel  is still at war today. An innocent child dies because God struck him with sickness. Regardless of David’s prayers and fasting the child dies. David had killed Uriah. Now God kills David and Bathsheba’s child.

Yes it all started when Bathsheba exposed her nudity to David. I am sure Bathsheba knew David walked where he walked when he saw her that day. How could she not know that the king’s palace was right next door?

So from this one look at a naked body here is what happened:

1. Lust

2. Adultery

3. Covetousness and No concern for Uriah

4. Adultery and Lies

5. Murder and Lies

6. An innocent child dies

7. The sword will never depart from the house of David.

No doubt that IF Bathsheba had not bathed in full view of David none of these sins would have been committed.

God and Prophecy

Prophecy. What is it? It is the word of God. It cannot will not fail.

In ancient times the Hebrew prophets were men who never got it wrong. They preached to their generation for the people to repent. To turn to God in humility and deep sorrow for their sins. Never did they teach that if one does what God says he will immediately begin to acquire riches and wealth. They saw what the problem was.  These is why they were called seers. They had 20/20 spiritual vision.

They saw what was there.  They saw what people needed to do and why; Repent. They told the people exactly what was coming if they did not repent. They did not study trends and somehow were able to figure out what would happen next if the people did not repent. God told them exactly what he would do to the sinners if they did not repent. It happened as the prophets said to the jot and tittle. Many of their prophecies are still coming to pass. And will still in the future come to pass.

But also within their preaching were prophecies of the coming Messiah.

But there are many false prophets that preach today money and wealth instead of repentance. Give to them and God will give to you.

Consider this: There are rich people out there who give nothing to God and his kingdom. So what does this say? It says that one does not have to give to God to be rich and prosperous. These false prophets are basically saying to us that Hollywood Celebrity can be rich without giving to God. But Christian must give to God to acquire the same things Hollywood Celebrity did without giving to God.

The world is rich and prosperous and it has nothing to do with serving God.

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. (Luke 12:15)

Nor did the prophets go around telling people what they wanted to hear. Their message was always about repentance and returning to God. Their preaching was leading to the appearance of Messiah. Prophets will always preach and teach what will bring you to God. If you obey it will bring you to his salvation. If you do not obey it will bring you to his judgment.

You will not pass go and you will not collect $200.

Prophets knew that the only way for the people’s lives to improve was for the people to do exactly what God said. Do what God says and you will be happy. Don’t do what God says and you will suffer judgment. This was the prophet’s message. Do or die. No in-between clauses were found in their messages. It was simple. Return to God or be destroyed.

That is simple to understand. It was like in ancient times when Israel was traveling God told them when the cloud moves you move. When it stands still you stand still. God made it so simple a child could understand. He has not changed.

But today there are prophets out there who tell the people exactly what they want to hear. Nothing but good will come to you if you give to their ministry. Granted God always honors anything done for him. But woe to the ministries that are giving to Caesar what belongs to God.

It is important to know the difference.

There is the law of probability. There is always a chance of a so-called prophesy coming to pass. A prophet says that tomorrow you will get a visit from a person who will write you out a check for the amount you need to meet your bills. If God did not say that there is still a chance of that happening. How?

Well the one who made the prophecy can bring it to pass themselves. They can call a friend and tell them to do exactly what the prophecy prophesied. They can say to their friend..go to this person I prophesied to and write them a check. Or I will be seen as a false prophet.

Prophets can go to a government leader and prophesy; Thus says the Lord..You will be re-elected. There is a fifty-fifty chance of that prophesy coming to pass. This prophecy is still not from God even if the  prophet told the exact number of votes the leader will get. It is not a prophecy from God if the prophet does not tell the wicked person to repent of their sins and to follow Jesus. Not follow God whoever you imagine her/him to be as the new age gurus teach. But as the scriptures say follow Jesus.

Many false prophets are gone out into the world to deceive those who do not know ONE thing; the Holy Scriptures. If one does not know the Holy Scriptures he is a sitting duck for the devil to deceive.

And what do the false prophets damage besides their own reputations? Others faith in what is true. If a prophet says that a prophecy can be obtained from God if you leave an offering that should set off a loud alarm that the prophet is false.

Jesus said many MANY false prophets will arise and deceive many. But according to the false prophets there are no false prophets..anyway not them. But what Jesus said is true when he told of to beware of false prophets.

If a prophet does not warn you of coming judgment IF you do not repent of your sins…you can be sure he is false.
