Saved At The Last Minute

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

(Mark 2:1-12) And  again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, ………..they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

One day God began to talk me about the man in the Bible who was let down through a roof. I knew the story. But God wanted me to see something in there I had not seen before.

In this story the man does not speak. The men who carried him do not speak. Jesus is the one who speaks to this man. He says to the man who does not speak or ask for forgiveness..”Son your sins are forgiven  you.”

Later I understood why he had made me see these passages as he did that day.

My dear brother spent his life drinking. He tried so many times to live for God. But he never was able to overcome the drunkenness. But prayer was made without ceasing for him. Not only by myself, but by other family members. And others. Of course he prayed himself to quit. But he drank and drank and drank. He finally gave up trying and just kept on drinking.

One day the sad call came that he had passed away. I was devastated and deeply troubled by this news. I knew he was drinking to his last day. I was told he had gotten drunk the night before he died of a massive heart attack. My brother died drunk? But God all the prayers for him. God you are faithful and true.  I had no peace on hearing this. He died suddenly I was told. One minute he is alive. Next minute suddenly gone. I wondered about all the prayers. I knew my brother loved God, but would not, did not, or could not stop drinking.

I knew God was a loving God who answers prayer. What happened that he is dead without being saved? I was about to find out something wonderful.

God said to me, that right before my brother passed from this life to the next, Jesus spoke to him the same words he spoke to the paralyzed man in the Bible..“Son your sins are forgiven you.  God said to me You were looking at his life, instead of at the life that was lived for him.” Then I understood why the Lord had given me this understanding of the man let down through the roof. Jesus saved my brother at the last-minute. Those are the words my brother heard. Prayers of faith had carried my brother through the roof of unbelief to the feet of Jesus.

So we may think someone is lost when they are not lost. I learned this. So who knows how many have heard Jesus say to them right before they died…“Son your sins are forgiven you.” When we bring, by prayer in faith, people to Jesus.

When we make a hole in the roof of unbelief to bring the person right to the feet of Jesus BY FAITH for healing. The Lord is not neglectful to hear and answer our prayers. He is faithful.

It says in that passage Jesus saw their faith. Let us have faith God can see. He honored that faith. Same when we pray for another to be saved. God may have to take their physical life to save their souls sometimes.

God saw our faith and saved my brother at the last-minute. Right before he died he heard what he needed to hear. Son your sins are forgiven you. He needed that more than he needed deliverance from the alcohol. So don’t give up praying for others. God will answer. Even if it is a last minute right before you die salvation.

The Bible is clear that drunkards will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But my brother did at the last minute have his sins forgiven so he could enter where he had wanted so long to enter. I know what God can do.

Be encouraged.

God’s Judgment On False Prophets

Carl Olof Rosenius preaching in Betlehemskyrka...

Jesus said …..He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

I heard a prophet on a Christian television program say that some preachers are going to start dropping dead behind their pulpits.

If a preacher says God will make us prosper if we send them money, I do not believe it. However, if they say God is going to kill you if you don’t repent, then I believe it. Why? Because He did it all the time in the Bible.

God does not love anyone more than he loved Ananias and Sapphira. Yet he struck them dead. Peter rebuked them before all.

He did not offer them counselling. He did not offer them a chance. He did not instruct them to go recite one-hundred Hail Mary’s. He did not tell them “I understand. No one is perfect.” He offered no altar to kneel and repent at. No covering it up. Peter did not even forgive them himself. He said for lying to the Holy Ghost you must die.

Next scene: two corpses lying at Peter’s feet. One died, then the other. Their dead bodies carried out, and buried, and the church rolled on.

We can just imagine how filled with fear all the church was after seeing these two now alive, now dead. Struck dead before them all. It would appear that those of Peter’s congregation did not try the same thing Ananias and Sapphira tried.

Back to the pulpit deaths…of course we know a pulpit means more than the standard ones we see in churches. Any preacher out there who is preaching a false gospel is in danger of being among those who drop dead under the judgment of God.

You know that God hasn’t changed one iota about how he sees sin. He still hates it and it will still be punished. Nothing has changed.

Why do some ministers who stand behind a pulpit preaching not live as God commands them to live? Simple answer: they don’t want to. How do we know this is true? Because God is good, and he is just, and he is merciful. He will never, ever, ever command us to do what we cannot do THROUGH Christ.

It is possible to live for Jesus.

And Paul the apostle said we can do all things through Christ. If God told you to do it, then you can do it through him who loved us and bought us with his blood. Someone said God will not bring you to it, if he does not bring you through it.

God commands all men everywhere to repent. But man tells God go away. Not today God I’m busy having fun. I am satisfying my flesh so take a hike. Go away  God go away.

Jesus already said that few will find the way to eternal life. Many will go to hell. Horrible! Oh God does it have to be that many will be lost forever suffering the eternal flames of hell?

Some say there is no hell.

Do they really think the suffering we see today in the world is not allowed by God? God is Sovereign. He is either doing his will, or permitting what is not his will. How he does this is not to be understood. He warns the world repent repent repent or perish.

But as sinners from times of old the world tells God GO AWAY.

However God cannot go away. He is omnipresent and fills all in all.

When one sees the suffering in the world today, it is difficult to bear it. But it is God who allows it. If one does not obey he suffers.

Better to repent today then find out later that to die without Christ is to go to that place where the worm dies not and the fire is not quenched. Jesus said that not me.

Nudity, King David, Bathsheba and God’s Judgment

Abishag at the bed of David, with Bathsheba, S...

2One evening David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the king’s house, when from there he saw a woman bathing; and she was very lovely to behold. (2 Samuel 11:20

David looked on a naked body. He then committed adultery. And murder.

Then he lied about it.

Then he learned the woman was pregnant. He lied about that.

Then he had the woman’s husband killed.

Then he lied about that.

His sin began when he looked at the naked body of the woman bathing herself.

Now that Uriah is murdered by David, he marries Bathsheba.

God lets all this happen…then

He sends Nathan the prophet who tells David a story. David is so blind to his evil of adultery and murder that he swears the man will be killed who done such a thing as Nathan reports.

Nathan tells him he is the man. Yes David GOD forgives you and has put away your sin. However the sword will never depart from your house.

Israel  is still at war today. An innocent child dies because God struck him with sickness. Regardless of David’s prayers and fasting the child dies. David had killed Uriah. Now God kills David and Bathsheba’s child.

Yes it all started when Bathsheba exposed her nudity to David. I am sure Bathsheba knew David walked where he walked when he saw her that day. How could she not know that the king’s palace was right next door?

So from this one look at a naked body here is what happened:

1. Lust

2. Adultery

3. Covetousness and No concern for Uriah

4. Adultery and Lies

5. Murder and Lies

6. An innocent child dies

7. The sword will never depart from the house of David.

No doubt that IF Bathsheba had not bathed in full view of David none of these sins would have been committed.

God Against Public Nudity

Prophet Ezekiel, Russian icon from first quart...

Image via Wikipedia

The Hebrew prophet Isaiah “walked naked and barefoot for three years as a sign … against Egypt and Cush.” The Lord Himself directly commanded Isaiah to do this to represent the utter shame these people would experience.

Nakedness was used here as warning of judgment.

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (Revelation of Jesus Christ 3:18

Here God makes it clear that we need to be covered. Dare anyone say that the Lord approves that these people he addressed here go naked? The fall in Eden caused God to make them clothes to wear..

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine. (Ezekiel 16:8)

Here God covered nakedness. He did this in Eden after they sinned against him. He made covering for them. Dare anyone say that the Lord in this passage approves of women exposing their bodies thus tempting men to sin?Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? (Isaiah 58:7)

God here tells Israel to care for others which would include making sure they have clothes to wear.

And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. (Genesis 9:22-27)

A curse is placed upon Canaan the son of Ham for looking at his father’s nakedness.

And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; (Ezekiel 18:7)

God here pronounces blessings on those who cover the naked.

Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.(Isaiah 47:1-3)

I understand this last verse to be God warning women to cover themselves or he will come to them, BUT not as a man will he come. He will come with judgment on her refusal to cover herself. He tells them to go ahead and expose themselves but when he comes to them it will be to punish. God equates nakedness with shame. Once the nakedness is uncovered then her shame shall be seen.

Dr Hotiarre Defends Evolution

Entrance to Evolving Planets

Image via Wikipedia

You may speak Dr Hotiarre:

My fellow evolving creatures of planet earth; may I begin by reminding my audience that man is an evolving thing.

He is an animal. An evolving entity. In short man is a beast!

Yes at one time in a long ago age he crawled on his hands and knees searching for food. He killed and killed and killed to survive. He salivated and sweat.  He graduated to the grunt. He smelled and stunk with no shame.

He never smiled or laughed. When man was an animal he looked like an animal.

But as he evolved he suddenly because of the time-god began to own a conscience that convicted him of his murders. What could this be? How could man evolve morals? He murdered than he begins to feel conscience? How could this be?

Humans are killers. Why? because we are animals.

This is basically what we do today: we kill to survive.

I think Brother Happy mentioned that the Bible says that if we hate our brother we are a murderer.

How to murder someone is not just using the hands. Not just hands to use a gun or a knife. Murder with words. Slander them and insult them. Insult them every chance you get. And condemn them with no mercy.

Elevate yourself to a place high above them. Use every language you know to speak evil of the one you wish to kill. I guarantee it that words kill.

Brother Happy spoke of ignorance; of how we kill using words as our weapon of choice. Vicious words murderous words hurting and cutting words.

If a child hears he is stupid and worthless he is being murdered by the ignorant creature that is hurling the words at him. If an adult hears or reads evil of himself he begins to die just as God said he would.

Death is the wages of sin. Death to the murderer and death to his victim.

Yes we are killers. We are murderers. We are liars and thieves and robbers.

Hmm..according to Brother Happy every time I slander a person I use words to wound mutilate to kill. Words that can be used as a lethal weapon to utterly destroy.

Some evolve quicker and better than others as we can deduct by simple observation.

Have you ever noticed that some people look like monkeys? Of course you have?  He deserves to die. He is not fully evolved according to Darwin.

Have you ever seen a man who is arrested and charged with murder? Why? because he attacked for no reason a fellow human being. Inn his anger of beastly depravity he viciously killed him. He felt no remorse. Why? because he is a beast. A lying murdering robbing beast.

This a picture of man without God.

Man is a beast an animal who loves to do evil. He loves to curse and use profanity. He loves to indulge himself in slander and gossip of those he hates and judges. He sits and slanders the absent victim.

Man is a murderer and a thief. The same things Jesus said of Satan that he is a murderer and a thief.

Do I really commit theft when I slander another? Do I really rob them of their right to be heard? Of their right to defend themselves? If they are not present to hear me slander them than yes I am robbing them of their right to defend their reputation.

If I use vicious words to attack them with words stabbed into their back then into their heart.. I am a murderer.

So yes man is a murderer. He is a thief. He is an animal. A beast.

What but a beast would kill?

What but a beast would murder lie and run to hide?

Yes evolution proves that man evolved from a beast into a man.

But Brother Happy says the opposite: he maintains that man evolved into a beast after he sinned against his Creator.

Darwin got it backwards.

God created a man in his image and Satan marred that man and called it evolution.

God calls it sin.

How do we return to Eden. Through Christ.

Agnostics Debate Apologists and Usually Win the Debate

Children in Jerusalem.

Image via Wikipedia

I listen sometimes to debates between atheists and believers. I just listened to one last night between an agnostic and a well-known apologist. I would say the agnostic won the debate simply because it was the same old thing the apologist presented. That evil exists because it is somehow good for us in some way.

Wrong.

Skeptics want answers they will never receive from their intellect. Or from anyone’s else’s. The answer to evil in the world is Christ. There is no other answer. It is okay to debate we can learn much. Of course apologists know this. But to try to explain away all the evil by saying “God gave us free will” is nonsense.

No sane parent would place two glasses before her beloved child and say to the child..”Okay here is a glass of orange juice and a glass of orange juice with rat poison. I give you free will to choose which one you want.”

We are not kinder than God and God did not do what he is accused of by many. He did not place two glasses of orange juice before the human race: one mixed with rat poison. And say Dear human race that I love…now you CHOOSE which one you want. That is evil and God did not do this.

I read where one apologist tried to justify evil’s existence in the world by citing a case of a mother whose child died. But after so-called counsel she finally realized she would have the child again just for the love the child brought her. I would not want her for a mother.

What? She would do it again if she could? No mother in her right mind would say “Yes I am grieving my child who has died. But if I could do it all over again for the love this child brought me than it was worth it.”

That would be the depths of selfishness and empty of love. No mother would “do it all again” knowing her child would die. Just so the mother could experience love it was okay for evil to exist which evil caused the child’s death? This is what the apologist was implying.

The mother in this case was thinking only of herself and not of the child who died. I wonder if she would have this attitude if it was she who died? This so-called reasoning is not from God but from Satan.

No mother would do such a thing. A decent mother would deny herself and not bring a child into the world knowing he would die so the mother could experience love.

This is why the Lord went to the cross to die to destroy the works of the devil not justify them. Evil is bad, there is no good in it; it has to go. Yes God can work all things together for our good. But he still came to destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:8 (KJV) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

This God gave us free will reason is the worst of all presentations to explain why evil exists. God would never give us free will to disobey him. He commanded us to obey him.

Earthquakes happen some apologists say because of tectonic plates. Really? Skeptics want to know why the tectonic plates are even there to start with. It is not tectonic plates it is SIN that is the problem.

Is there an elephant on the floor? With some apologists there seems to be.

To be continued…

God and Darkness and Light

Absolute darkness

Image via Wikipedia

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1)

Not at the beginning but In the beginning God created. He created the heaven and the earth. Not he created the heaven and the earth and other planets.  No that is not what it says. And now we know there are numberless galaxies out there  each owning billions perhaps trillions of planets; but only one planet is named by name when God in the beginning created. The one we live on which is earth. Sounds like earth is singled out because all other planets are considered the heaven.

The earth had no form and it was void after he created it. Empty. This is what God created: the earth empty and without form. Darkness was upon the face of the deep. The darkness is not underneath the face of the deep, but only on its face. (There is a reason for all this. God is not a foolish God he is not a wasteful God. Anyone who sees what he made should know this. Sadly many do not. It is easier to project onto God their own feelings. They blame him instead of simply taking him at his word.)

So far God has said nothing.

Then the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. We cannot assume anything here such as the face of the waters is the face of the deep.

I don’t know and neither does anyone else. No one but God was there.

Then His Spirit moved on the face of the deep.

Notice there is no light. None. He created darkness? It doesn’t say that: it says he created the heaven and the earth and the earth not the heaven was without form and void and DARKNESS was upon the face of the deep.

But we can know that he did make the darkness by this verse:

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3) Darkness would be included in these “all things” because darkness is a thing.

Look skyward during the day and see there our only source of light: the sun.

God did not create the sun….yet.

Note: Darkness  is not a ball of gas in the sky shedding darkness over the world. Darkness permeates everywhere: it doesn’t come to us from a certain source as light comes to us from the sun and moon and stars. I t is simply here it is there. Darkness is as natural as it is dominant.

However the sun is a ball of gas in the sky shedding light over all the world. Darkness is not what the sun is. When the sun goes down in the west we are then in total darkness. We switch on our Edison invention to have light to light our dark world.

It is dark by nature it is dark by divine decree. Where the sun is not shining there is darkness. We do not plug in a lamp in a room to make it dark. We plug in a lamp to tap into light so we can see, so we can feel better, so we can live better. Light is what we need. If someone says he doesn’t mind to live in darkness he is either blind or demented. Light is what we prefer to darkness.

Seven of the most beautiful words in existence which are recorded in the Bible are And God said let there be light.

As soon as he said these words there came into existence what he said. And there was light and God saw that the light was good. So far here God created and the Spirit of God moved. Then he spoke. He said and what he said came into existence. So God did not create the sun he spoke it into existence. That is what it says: he said let there be light. His command was immediately obeyed.

People blame God for evil in the world, for all that men do in the darkness they blame God. For all nature’s disasters they blame God. For man’s inhumanity to man they blame God. For all the darkness in men’s hearts and souls they blame God. They accuse him that he could have made a better world and he did not. Why? He has the power to do it so why did he create evil. Why does he allow suffering and death in a world he claims to love?

They lose their faith because God does not think as they think. They arrogantly think they could have done a better job of creating a world. They would get rid of evil. In fact they maintain they would not have created a world with evil in the first place.

So what are they saying in all their complaints and accusations? They are basically saying they are kinder than God, and wiser, and more powerful in their thinking. They place themselves above God in their intellect. They imply they are better than he. But we cannot come to God with our so-called intellect. Some say God only responds to faith. Hold it! Adam and Eve had no faith when they blatantly disobeyed God. It was God who initiated the reconciliation.. It was God who promised them a Redeemer. It was God who made them clothes to wear when they became ashamed of themselves.

Darkness was before light. Darkness was and light came into existence because GOD SAID. It is of eternal importance what God says. His word is what it is all about. We can speak and nothing happens. We can say the truth or lie and nothing happens. Not so with God when he speaks he can and does call into existence things; even things that were not as though they were.

….and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  (Romans 4:17)

There is a connection of  natural and spiritual darkness: that permeates our existence on earth; with the  spoke into existence light to Jesus Christ, and the cross on which he died.

People question God and accuse and slander him. You tube is full of accusing God videos. Websites where he is utterly hated and slandered.

But something happened at the Cross which answers and explains. It is the only answer that exists. Why do we know Jesus existed? Because history records he was born. He was the Word made flesh. Not as in….he suddenly was there in Israel. No there is more to it than that. A long history that began before the foundation of the world. God already knew what he would do before In the beginning.
